The short answer
- Pick Botify if your site has millions of URLs and you want crawl data, server logs and Search Console data joined in one hosted platform, with an account team behind it.
- Pick Botify if you want the platform to act on the site, not only report: its platform page lists automated deployment (PageWorkers), bot-facing page serving (SpeedWorkers) and internal linking, which no crawler does.
- Pick bseoa if you need a technical audit today, from your own machine or a script, at a price you can see: $279 once, 14-day trial, no sales call.
- Pick bseoa if you want to audit from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor with a documented connector, or need checks for AI crawler access and llms.txt.
- Use both if Botify is the enterprise system of record and your engineers want a local crawler for staging, pre-release checks and CI, where a sales-gated seat is overkill.
Botify pricing
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Limit | 3-year cost, one user |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Every Botify plan | Quote only | Quote only | Set by your plan; not published | Quote only |
Botify publishes no prices. Its pricing page groups the product into three modules and offers a demo instead of a price: AI Readiness (AI-optimized catalog, AI agent and bot management), AI Visibility (GEO analytics, website analytics, keyword analytics, AI agent and bot analytics, prioritized actions, proactive alerts) and AI Activation (AI-generated content, automation and deployment, cross-platform indexation, internal linking, MCP). Botify's support center refers to "the crawls available in your Botify plan" without saying how many that is. There is no self-serve plan, free tier or trial on the site.

Three-year cost for one person
bseoa: $279 for a Single License, or $639 with the hosted connector for Claude.ai and ChatGPT on yearly billing. Botify: not calculable from public information, because every plan is priced by quote. If you are comparing them for one person's audit work, ask Botify for the annual figure and multiply by three.

Where Botify wins
- Scale without your hardware. Crawls run on Botify's servers, so site size is a contract question, not a question of your laptop's memory.
- Logs, crawl and Search Console in one place. LogAnalyzer shows what Googlebot and AI bots actually fetch, and RealKeywords lays Search Console performance over the crawl. bseoa has neither log analysis nor Search Console data.
- It changes the site. PageWorkers deploys fixes and SpeedWorkers serves pre-rendered pages to bots. bseoa only reports; your team ships the fix.
- Scheduled crawls and alerts are built in. bseoa has no scheduler; you run the CLI from cron.
- An account team, onboarding and enterprise procurement, which some companies require before they buy anything.
Where bseoa wins
- A price you can read: $279 once, or $1,999 for an Agency License, against a quote from sales.
- Start in minutes. Download, run a 14-day trial with every feature and no page limit, no demo call.
- It runs where you are. The desktop app and CLI crawl staging servers and anything your machine can reach, and the CLI drops into CI with JSON, CSV or XML output.
- Documented AI assistant support: a local MCP server for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and Perplexity, and a hosted connector for Claude.ai and ChatGPT.
- 26 AI-readiness checks you can read, including AI crawler rules in robots.txt, llms.txt, bylines and dates, and content that only appears after JavaScript runs; plus a source code guarantee on every purchase.
Who should pick which
- Agency: bseoa, with the Agency License for a team. If a client already pays for Botify, use their Botify for logs and keep bseoa for your own audits and pitches.
- In-house technical SEO: Botify if the site has millions of URLs and you need logs and Search Console joined to the crawl every week. bseoa if the site is smaller or the budget is not enterprise.
- Developer: bseoa. A CLI with JSON output fits CI and pre-release checks, and the MCP server works in your editor.
- Enterprise: Botify if you want a vendor-run platform that also deploys changes. Many enterprise teams still give engineers a local crawler like bseoa for staging.
