The verdict
- Pick Sitebulb if you want polished visual reports and customized PDF audits to hand to clients, with hints explained in plain language.
- Pick Sitebulb if you need a cloud crawler your whole team can open in a browser, or Search Console and Analytics data joined to the audit.
- Pick bseoa if you want to pay once ($279) instead of every month, and do not want a 10,000 or 500,000 URL cap per audit.
- Pick bseoa if you need a command line, Linux, or crawls you can start from an AI assistant; Sitebulb's MCP reads finished audits but cannot start one.
- Use both if Sitebulb is your client-reporting tool: run bseoa from the CLI or an assistant for quick checks, CI gates and the AI-readiness checks.

0. bseoa has no scheduler of its own. The CLI runs headless, so a cron line or a Windows scheduled task gives you recurring crawls, and two stored crawls can be compared after each run.
1. Sitebulb does not have a command line. Requests for one (for example to run on Debian servers without a GUI) are on Sitebulb's public feature board, which refused automated fetches on 31 October 2026, so its status there is not verified. Source: feature request.
2. Sitebulb auto-exports to Google Sheets and offers Looker Studio integration on Cloud. Its MCP server reads finished audits read-only. We found no public API or CLI. Sources: pricing page, MCP FAQ.
3. Scheduled audits are listed for Pro and Cloud; the FAQ lists scheduling as a Pro feature, so Lite cannot schedule. Source: pricing page.
4. Sitebulb's Rendered hints flag content, links, titles, canonicals and headings that exist only in the rendered HTML, which covers the JavaScript-dependent part of AI readiness. Its hint library lists no hints for AI crawlers in robots.txt, llms.txt, or bylines and dates. Sources: Rendered hints, hint library.
Where Sitebulb wins
- Reports. Customized PDF audits and visual explanations of each hint are what Sitebulb is known for, and clients read them.
- A browser-based Cloud product for teams, with recurring crawls and no project limits, that bseoa does not have.
- Search Console, Analytics and Google Sheets integrations on every desktop plan, including the $18 Lite plan.
- A cheap way in: Lite at $18 a month or $180 a year is fine for small sites under 10,000 URLs.
- MCP access on every plan, including the trial, with step-by-step guides for both Claude and ChatGPT.
Where bseoa wins
- No URL cap per audit, and no subscription. $279 once against $425 a year for Sitebulb Pro's 500,000 URL cap.
- A command line and Linux. bseoa runs headless in cron jobs and CI pipelines on Windows, macOS and Linux; Sitebulb runs on Windows and Mac with a GUI only.
- An assistant can start the crawl. bseoa's connector and local MCP server can start crawls, check single pages and compare two crawls; Sitebulb's MCP reads finished audits and cannot start one.
- 26 AI-readiness checks, including AI crawler access in robots.txt, llms.txt, and visible bylines and dates, which Sitebulb's hint library does not list.
- Raw data you own: every crawl in a local SQLite file plus JSON, JSONL, CSV and XML exports, and a source code guarantee.
Who should pick which
- Agency: Sitebulb if client-facing PDF reports are the deliverable. bseoa if you want one Agency License ($1,999 once) for the team, CLI crawls for many client sites, and audits from Claude.ai or ChatGPT.
- In-house technical SEO: Sitebulb Pro if you value its hint explanations and Search Console data in the audit. bseoa if you crawl sites above 500,000 URLs, want AI-readiness checks, or would rather not renew every year.
- Developer: bseoa. Sitebulb has no CLI and no Linux build; bseoa runs in CI and from Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Codex.
- Enterprise: Sitebulb Cloud if you need a shared browser workspace and recurring crawls run for you. bseoa suits engineers who want scripted crawls on their own hardware alongside an enterprise platform.
